Cold weather got you down? Not this weekend—the streets of Saratoga Springs are heating up, thanks to the gallons of homemade soup and chowder that are stewing in preparation for Chowderfest.
This Saturday marks the 14th Annual Chowderfest, taking place in Saratoga Springs, New York. One of the most highly anticipated events in Saratoga, Chowderfest is utterly delicious. More than 70 vendors will be opening their doors to the public—providing warm bowls of chowder to event goers—in exchange for a dollar.
Starting at approximately 11 a.m., Chowderfest offers a family friendly atmosphere, where folks can stroll the streets of Saratoga enjoying live music, face painting and of course multiple bowls of chowder. Even dogs are welcome—establishments like Dawgdom and Sloppy Kisses are offering doggy chowder and photo opts for your four-legged friends.
With our new loft conveniently located at 360 Broadway, the team at Simpson Square jumped at the opportunity to participate in this year’s festivities. As a sponsor of Chowderfest 2012, Simpson Square will be offering refreshments and hosting two drawings, for those of you who wish to participate. We will be raffling off a brand new camcorder as well as a limited edition print from Erik Laffer, an up-and-coming artist also located in Saratoga Springs. So stop in or enter on our website to register to win.
Feeling adventurous? Head out to Saratoga Springs this weekend and enjoy the party! However, don’t forget to pick up a ballot at participating establishments and vote for your favorite chowder.
We look forward to seeing you in downtown Saratoga.
